Firing a client is uncomfortable but necessary for growth. The key is to make it about "business fit," not personal failure.
"As our agency shifts focus to [X], we are no longer the best fit for your needs. We will finish the current sprint, complete the final invoice by [Date], and help transition your files to a new provider." This closes the door firmly but politely.
